The LCDS boys and girls basketball teams have been competing hard for the last few months against Tri-Valley and non-league opponents as they jockey for a postseason berth. Right now, the boys team sits in third place in District III, while the girls are in 10th.
This month in hoops also saw a tremendous individual achievement, when Tayler E. ’17 became the ninth player in Country Day history to score 1,000 points in varsity competition. He crossed this threshold Saturday, Jan. 14, with a 15-point first half at Greenwood. For good measure, Tayler also hit the game winning shot with 6.7 seconds on the clock. See video of Tayler’s 1,000th point and an interview with him here.
